Heres to you Grandpa

Monday, February 25, 2013

I told you last week that I was going on vacation this weekend. Wellll..that didn't happen.
As I was literally about to walk out the door my family got a call that my grandpa had just been resuscitated. He was alive but on life support and they told us if we wanted to see him we were to go right away.
Friday night he was taken off life support and passed away an hour later. It all happened so fast and was very unexpected so I am still in complete shock.
I have had so many wonderful memories with my grandpa and I will cherish them forever.
I have been thinking about my different relationships with family members and friends and this has really opened up my eyes. The next time you are with family or friends put down the phone or computer. Cherish your time with them and make all the memories you can. When they are gone you will cherish those times forever. Take lots of pictures because those will be priceless.
The funeral is later on this week so I will be posting on and off through out the week if at all. I hope you all have a great week and make some memories!

Heres to good times ahead

Thursday, February 21, 2013

Just a couple hours ago I was told to pack my bags for a spur of the moment girls trip! Now that I don't have a job I'm allowed to do these things...and I don't hate it!
Needless to say I have been running around like crazy should see my room right now.
holy tornado.
I'm ready for warmer weather and if I have to go on vacation to get some so be it.
I should probably mention I'm going to FL. Hello 80 degrees! I will be there through the weekend so no blogging for the next couple days.
See you Tuesday ladies!

Desk Pinspiration

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

I've been wanting to re decorate my desk space for awhile. But, when it comes down to actually doing never turns out the way I want.
I am still determined to make it just right. I have been pinning my little heart out looking for ideas.
Don't you just wish you can buy exactly what you pin? It would make my life so much easier I swear.
I'm linking up with Michelle from The Vintage Apple for Oh, How Pinteresting.

                                   1 / 2 / 3 / 4

Those are some of my desk inspirations. I can't wait to have a desk space that I like. I feel like if you have a workspace you love you get more done and are inspired. Anyone else feel that way?

If y'all have any desk DIY ideas send them my way! And once I'm done with my desk space I'll make sure to share it with you!

Liar Liar Pants On Fire?

Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Lets play a little game shall we?
I'm linking up with Alexa for 2 truths + 1 lie. I loved the idea of this and just had to play along.
You list three facts (two thruthful & one a lie) and your readers have to guess which one is a lie. Fun right?!
one. I have never had wine. Not even a sip. Crazy huh? I don't know how I can live with myself.
two. I've gotten sun poisoning more than five times in my life. It seems like every single time I go to FL I get sun poisoned. Lesson learned-fake bake before hand.
three. I have never been to a concert. I know..I know.. totally lame. Hopefully one day I can see Luke Bryan shake it live ;)

There you have it! Leave your guess in the comments & I will let you know if you were right or wrong!

Current Beauty Favorites

Monday, February 18, 2013

My beauty favorites are always changing. I love discovering new products or even old products I have forgotten about in my collection.
My face has been freaking out on me lately. It is so dry and I have been breaking out like a teenager. Its not cute. at all.
Because my face has not been cooperating I haven't changed up the products I use because they work & I love them.

Acne stress control triple action toner ($6): hello? lifesaver! I was using Lush's tea tree toner ($10) & realized it wasn't really doing what I wanted it to do. I picked this up from Wal-Mart & I've been hooked ever since. I have used it practically every day for the last two months & still haven't even put a dent in it. It treats acne, gets rid of any excess make up & oil, & refreshes my face.
Benefit POREfessional ($30): Not going to lie I was put off by this product because of the price. It took me forever to cave in & buy it. I am so glad I did though. It minimizes my pores & makes my skin look so much better. I like to throw this on even on days when I don't wear any other make up just to make my pores less noticeable.
Milani baked blush in dolce pink ($8): I actually got this blush for my sister & used it once and fell in love. I use it every day since then. It gives me the perfect baby pink color with a hint of gold. It does have some shimmer in it though so if you don't like shimmer then I wouldn't get this blush. I however don't mind it.
Maybelline color tattoo metal in inked in pink ($6): As soon as I saw the commercial for this color I had to have it. Let me tell you it is hard to find! It took me a month because it was always sold out! It was so worth the wait though. I love wearing it by itself or just as a base.
Revlon nearly naked powder ($11): I bought this powder to go with the foundation. However right now I am staying away from foundations until my skin gets back on track so I have just been using the powder. The powder is amazing though it keeps my face matte for hours which is what a powder should do.
Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm ($7): I bought this from Sephora well over two years ago and discovered it again this year. I'm obsessed may even trump my addiction to baby lips. maybe. It smells ah-maze-ing and makes you want to eat it. It hydrates my lips and if you want to you can even put a little on your cuticles.
Lorac Pro Palette ($42): I got this for Christmas and it has become my go to palette. I hardly ever touch my Naked palettes anymore. I love all the colors in this palette and how pigmented and smooth they are.
I love discovering new products from other people as well so share with me some of your current beauty favorites :)

High Five Friday!

Friday, February 15, 2013

This week was super fun & relaxing. It was the first week I didn't have to go to work & I enjoyed every minute of it. I'm linking up with Lauren for High Five For Friday to share my top 5 favorite things of the week.

One: Valentines Day. My mom goes all out. It's kinda cray but hey I'm not complaining! She is adorable.

Two: I've wanted some MK sandals for forever. Saw those babies at DSW & had a $10 off coupon. Needless to say I couldn't pass them up.

Three: My sister & I started P90x again. We were pretty proud of ourselves for sticking with it. I do wanna try the 30 day shred but not gonna looks scary!

Four: I have a slight addiction to nail it's strange that for almost 2 weeks my nails were bare.  I was excited to have cute nails again!

Five: I finally finished the book Safe Haven. Just in time for the movie! I am seeing it today & couldn't be more excited.

Have a great weekend :)

Where Have I been?

Monday, February 11, 2013

I have been out of the blog world for over two weeks!
I did not mean for that to happen but sometimes life just catches up with you.
I am so glad to be back though.
I am officially just a student and focusing on school and this blog & I couldn't be more excited
Today I am linking with Jenn & Jess for 5 for Five
 This weeks goals:
1. Blog everyday
I have no excuses now. I have all the time in the world.
2. Work out 3x this week
3. Find new healthy recipes
If anybody has any good recipes or any good sites please share!
4. Start shopping for bro/sis birthday gift
They are so picky so it always takes forever to figure out what to get them!
5. Call grandparents
I told myself I would call them once a week. That has yet to happen.
Stay tuned for a new blog design & a new Facebook page!
